Reporting: Data Quality

Tip: dotted underlines explain technical terms on hover or keyboard focus.

Data Quality surfaces completeness and identifier issues across your catalogue so teams can fix masters before they spread into Sites, devices, and integrations. Scores are a guide—not a claim that every GTIN will always resolve.

Overview

Start from the Dashboard Data Quality card or a part Summary Data Quality panel. Common attention items include missing GTINs, identifiers embedded in descriptions, missing manufacturer stock codes, and duplicate description words. Broader import scoring is covered in Good data practices.

1. Dashboard review

On Dashboard, the Data Quality card shows an aggregate score (for example Needs attention). Use Review quality → or the Needs attention list, then Review data quality.

Data Quality—overall score, Needs Attention, Priority Fixes, and Bulk Fix / Fix actions.

2. Part-level score

On a part Summary, the Data Quality card shows a percentage score, status text, and issue list (for example Manufacturer Part Number missing, GTIN not valid, GPC not assigned). Choose View detailed DQ report when you need the breakdown.

Part Summary Data Quality—score gauge and actionable warnings beside master fields.

3. Update and re-check

Click Edit on the part, fix the listed fields (GTIN via GTIN check on a part when you have a barcode), save, and return to Summary to confirm the score moved. Prefer fixing the master before creating Site-only workarounds.
