Administration: Sites and devices
Under Administration, Sites and Storerooms define where stock lives. They map to the Site and Device levels in the Portal data model. Manage users for a site from the Sites table—see Admin · Users.
Overview
Keep Site and Storeroom lists accurate so Parts Summary, the PartLogic mobile app, and API device permissions resolve to the right places. Related admin lists (Manufacturers, Suppliers, Applications, Parts Uploader, Subscription) sit in the same Administration group.
1. Open Administration
Expand Administration in the sidebar. Choose Sites or Storerooms.
2. Edit Sites
On the Sites list, open Edit Details (pencil) for an organisation. In Edit site detail, use the General section for Name, Email, Phone, Fax, and Notes (Code is usually fixed). Expand Addresses and Contacts, Images, VAT / Transactions / Terms, Additional Info, or Danger Zone when you need those settings. Save Changes when finished, or Close to discard.
3. Edit Storerooms (devices)
Open Storerooms under Administration, or use Manage Devices from the Sites row. Edit Name, Customer (Site), Device Type (for example Barcode), Description, and Notes, then Save. The Danger Zone can clear device stock or delete the device—use those only when you intend to wipe or remove the storeroom.
4. Sites on a part record
On a part Summary, the Sites table links the master to each Site and nested Storerooms, with counts and Min/Max. Create additional Site or Storeroom links from the controls under that table when the part must appear on another location.
